If pulseaudio has crashed then ideally you will find .crash files in
/var/crash.
If you find one then please run:
ubuntu-bug /var/crash/YOURFILE.crash
and tell us here the ID of the new bug that creates.

No sound in ubuntu14.04.5 On running aplay -l two sound cards are
showing but in setting>sound>output, in Play sound through box no card
