Title:
Click+Shift+2nd click wrongly selects files on desktop

Status in Nautilus:
  Expired
Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: nautilus

Normally, when one would click on the topmost file on the desktop and
then on another file while holding Shift, every file in between is
selected. This is however only the case when the files are sorted
alfabetically. So, when the files are in random order, they are
selected according to their name and not their place. Also see the
  screenshot.
