Title:
[drm] GPU HANG: ecode 9:0:0x84dfbffc, in Xwayland [2102], reason: Hang
on rcs0, action: reset
Status in xserver-xorg-video-intel package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Gnome/Weyland locked up while I was using my web browser(pale moon
Version: 27.3.0 (64-bit)). I tried to Alt-Ctrl-F1 / Alt-Ctrl-F2 but
was just presented with a new login after what seemed like a few
minutes of the system being unresponsive. /sys/class/drm/card0/error
was an empty file when I went to check it.
Very similar to #1728474 (
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1728474 ) and
#1730184 ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1730184 )
, but unlike those it provided the following in syslog/kern.log:
ubuntu: 17.10 artful
xserver-xorg-video-intel: 2.99.917+git20170309-0ubuntu1
gnome-shell: 3.26.2-0ubuntu0.1
