In ubuntu oneiric seem that when you change the volume with media keys the sound event that let you hear the sound volume (I don't know how is it called in English) isn't reproduced with g-s-d >= 3.2.2-0ubuntu1... downgrading to previous versions solves the problem... I also don't hear the login sound, but I'm not sure if this problem is related to g-s-d in general
