Title:
gedit crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_list_store_clear()

Status in gedit package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Duplicate to #1568934: BUT there is an additional irritation. The
default, log on monitor issue for dual monitors always go to the wrong
DVI-1 monitor in Ubuntu 17.10+ Wayland, but it is ok on X-11

Why does Ubuntu 17.10 and 18.04 beta both ask for a logon on DVI-1
(right monitor) instead of DVI0 (left) on a dual monitor instillation
with or without NVIDIA Titan display drivers (using Cinnamon) .

I can switch the monitorchoice ((1) or (2) under display AFTER logging
on. My present work around switch is to switch the monitor cables...

Ubuntu <17.10 Win7, and all initial Ubuntu installs select DVI-0 as
default and ask for log on on the proper (left - not right) monitor
without having to change the display settings after logging on

This is not really critical but it sure is irradiating.
