This affects me too currently. I've updated my system to 11.04 several weeks ago. After that I had no problems with Jabber. The problems started a few days ago.
I've tried empathy (3.2.0.1-0ubuntu1.1) and pidgin (1:2.10.0-0ubuntu2). Both with the same error. I've activated the oneiric-proposed repository on my system. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/753820 Title: "Disconnected __ no reason specified" when loggin into GTalk/Jabber account Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Binary package hint: empathy I have never been able to log into my Gchat account since I install Ubuntu 10.10 and empathy 2.32.1-0ubuntu1.1. It worked in Ubuntu 10.04 and empathy (don't remember the version). Attached is a log from Empathy. I cleared the log, clicked "reconnect" on the Gchat account, then saved the log file.
