The problem seems to be that POTFILES.in has been outdated, so all the translatable strings up to zenity 3.26.0 have not made it to the translation template. The latest template was created on November 13, 2017, and two weeks later several files were added to POTFILES.in upstream:
https://github.com/GNOME/zenity/commit/abcc873c So there seems to be an urgent need that GNOME releases a new version of zenity. @Jeremy: Can you push for that to happen in due time, so zenity can be updated in Debian/Ubuntu in time for 18.04? ** Changed in: zenity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: zenity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to zenity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1747158 Title: Translation template for Zenity is outdated Status in Ubuntu Translations: New Status in zenity package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: The translation template for Zenity is outdated (not synced with upstream) on Launchpad, resulting in non-English Zenity translations being incomplete although they are fully translated in upstream and showing as fully translated on Launchpad as well (because of the outdated template). For example the Czech translation: Upstream: https://github.com/GNOME/zenity/blob/master/po/cs.po - last updated in December 2017. Launchpad: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/bionic/+source/zenity/+pots/zenity/cs/+details - last updated in November 2015, missing many strings when used with the current Zenity package.
