This did not help me ... Anyway, I basically (and still) use the 4.4
kernel version. Currently the last official update is:
4.4.0-112.135-generic
If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
'kernel-fixed-upstream' tags. I apologize but ... Where should I add the
"tag"?! I apologize again, but the problem is very confusing for gtk+
programs; it makes it practically unmanageable where it occurs ... :(
