segfault editing network connection in Lubuntu Next 17.10 Beta1

Bug description:
Cannot use panel interface to add wireless connection
* on fresh install of Lubuntu Next 17.10 Beta1 i386 (build 20170831)
* complete the installation and reboot into new OS
* Use Panel Applet to view Network Connections or execute command:
nm-connection-editor
* Choose the connection for the wireless access point you wish to connect to
* click edit
- Connection Editor window simply disappears
- command line reports "segmentation fault"
- see attached dmesg for details (nm-connection-e segfault error 4 in
libnma.so.0.0.0)
