Bug is not present when ran as a normal user. Bug is also not present when logging in to the desktop session as 'root' (NOT recommended). Similar to the bug reported in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/1518516 ,but ONLY affects gedit when used with sudo/gksu. [[Related rant: Does anyone even like this new, ugly, bug-riddled gedit interface? Like everyone else that I've seen discuss the topic, I miss the "classic" gedit interface. It looked better and was stable and resilient. This new interface looks awkward and is causing issues in many DEs, including its native GNOME.]] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/1654869/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
