Title:
unity-gnome-shell-migration.17.10.py crashed with signal 5
Status in gnome-session package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Soon after booting the system reports that it's found an internal
error; do I want to report it. The bug-summary line above is its
description.
Recently upgraded from 17.04 [but this may be the same system-detected
bug that used to frequently come up soon after booting in previous
versions.]
My current system log-in shows 4 possible log-in options: cinnamon,
software-cinnamon -- and 2 others which don't work, instead blanking
briefly & returning me to the log-in screen -- 'default' among them.
'unity' is not one of the 4 (nor would I miss it, since it's not one
I've ever chosen when anything else would work!!! So I don't know why
the system is calling this a 'unity-gnome-shell-migration' issue.)
A day or so ago I got an error message (after hours of running several
programs) that cinnamon had crashed due to lack of memory [and
therefore wouldn't be able to report the error?. Relevant?
