Open the Activities overview and start typing Details. Click on Details to open the panel. A window appears showing information about your system, including your distribution's name and the GNOME version. yet...opening up Activities > Details the details window does not show either my distribution's name *or* GNOME version. Either 1) This behaviour changed and the documentation is out of date or 2) there's a bug in "Details" window.
