Title:
  logging in to gnome wayland show blank screen and lightdm is restarted

Status in gnome-session package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I select the Gnome on Wayland login option, then type my password in
  and press Enter. A blank screen with a blinking cursor appears, and
  then I am thrown back into the lightdm login screen, without any error
  message. I am attaching the lightdm.log which has some intriguing
  error messages.
