If the system is booted cleanly no password is required. So I'm imagining this bugreport from the perspective of someone who never needs to enter a password and may not know what to type. One day they hibernate or suspend their computer, and on returning to it they resume the machine. Expected behaviour here: (after a pause) their desktop appears Actual behaviour here: they see a prompt to unlock their session I couldn't find an existing report of these symptoms but I would argue given the story above that this behaviour is overly surprising and should be seen as a bug.
