If this only happens on Windows 2003, I don't see it getting fixed given 
that it's an end of life product. I have no issues with rdesktop to 
Windows 2008 upwards with rdesktop 1.8.3.

  Hello!

  After upgrading to 17.04 rdesktop crashes while connecting to windows
  2003:

  Failed to negotiate protocol, retrying with plain RDP.

  Previous version , i.e. from 16.10 works just fine though..
