Result: The file was not moved to the intended directory, rather it was restored to Desktop (or wherever you put it in the first step above)! I lost some important files doing this because Ubuntu asked me if I wanted to replace the files and I replied yes (because the directory I was moving them to was empty), not knowing I was restoring the files. My Ubuntu is this: Description: Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS Release: 16.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1770668/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
