There is no release of Ubuntu where Unity 2D is still supported, but if you can reproduce this issue on another version of Ubuntu then do change the status of this bug to New. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1001399 Title: Nautilus + Ctrl-Alt-F1 -> Desktop hang Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: To reproduce (done it five times now): 1. Start the computer. 2. Select Ubuntu 2D on the login screen. 3. Log in. 4. Start Nautilus. 5. Press Ctrl-Alt-F1 What happens: The screen hangs - Nothing updates anymore. I can still use Alt-SysRq-REISUB, but that's all. What should happen: No hangs, please :) To ensure that the problem is really Nautilus, I tried to start all the programs which were running the last time it hung, one at a time, leaving the others on in the background, and switching to VT1 and back. It worked fine with no applications, GNOME Terminal, and Firefox, but crashed when I also opened Nautilus.
