With which version of Ubuntu are you seeing that? the scrolling works ok
for me on Oneiric.

Lag when scrolling long title list
Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
When browsing through titles via the scroll key, the list will keep
moving even after you stop scrolling. Some kind of input lag... I
don't know. It is however extremely annoying. This naturally only
happens when the list is long enough.
