Title: Sorting in system monitor using dependency view mode is not good Status in Gnome System Monitor: Expired Status in gnome-system-monitor package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor When using the dependency view mode in gnome-system-monitor the sorting gets a bit strange, e.g. sorting by memory, the child process will be sorted by memory under their parent process but not overall. Preferably parent applications should also be sorted based on the memory usage of their children. Current behaviour makes sense for e.g. name and pid sorting, but not for cpu usage and memory usage sorting.
