Title:
Should be easier to install plugins

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gedit

As far as I know, the only way to install plugins is to extract them
and place them in the ~/.gnome2/gedit/plugins/ directory (which
doesn't even exist by default). You should be able to open the
Plugins tab and drag .tar.gz files (or links to such files) directly
into it, like you can in Appearance or Deskbar, and they will be
downloaded and installed automatically. There are probably even
  better ways to do it.
