fullscreen visualization freezes when seeking in a song

Bug description:
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Turn on visualization on Rhythmbox while a song is playing, then make
it fullscreen, click the disable button, skip to another part of the
song, and turn visualization back on. The visualization is frozen and
the song stops playing until the disable button is clicked. This
doesn't seem to happen when visualization is not in fullscreen.
