Hello again Martin. Thanks again for submitting this second bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird.
You made this bug report in 2008 regarding Thunderbird and there have been several versions of Thunderbird since then. Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket? Or, if it is still a problem, could you come to Launchpad and make a comment to that effect? Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu and Thunderbird better. Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Binary package hint: thunderbird I have 5 email accounts. When I try to receive emails, it always asks for my password for each account. I have put a password in Password Manager, but this doesn't work. When I click on "Get Mail" to get mail for all accounts, it asks me for the Password Manager password. But then it also asks me for a password for each email account. The "Password Manager" is ignored. Also, it sometimes says "Sending the passsword did not succeed. ... Mail Server ... responded Could not determine server". It says this for each account. Despite these messages saying it did not succeed, it *does* manage to download emails. So this error message appears to be unnecessary. (I think I should report this as a separate bug.) I am using Thunderbird "2.0.0.16" with Kubuntu "8.04.1".
