Title:
Fingerprint recognition unusable on a Thinkpad X230
Status in fprintd package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Fingerprint recognition is unusable with the fingerprint reader of a Thinkpad
X230. It takes me 10-20 trials until fprintd recognizes my fingerprint for
authentication. This is regardless of which fingerprint I enroll: right index
finger, right thumb, right thumb in inverse direction, none of this is reliably
recognized.
I use fprintd on a Thinkpad T61, and there it works reliably. So this must be
a problem of the X230 fingerprint reader.
Please fix, in the current state, fingerprint authentication is unusable on
the X230.
