firefox 50.0's address bar does not accept long entries

Bug description:
When I type in:
- bugs.launchpad.net or
- plop plop plop plop
then enter in my address bar, nothing occurs...
If I type in "plop plop plop", then I'm redirected correctly to my
default search engine result page.
