Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version.
When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated
logs by running only once:

Title:
clicking hyperlink in firefox logs out of gnome
Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Clicking a hyperlink in Firefox sometimes logs me out of GNOME
(Classic, i.e. gnome-panel). There is no warning or prompt asking me
whether I want to log out or not. I briefly see a black screen with
white text similar to the ones you see when shutting down from the
command line, then I am shown the typical Ubuntu login manager. I can
then log in again.
This problem occurs infrequently, and because I am immediately logged
out without warning, I cannot view the problematic code in a debugger.
Nor does the white text appear long enough for me to read what it
says.
