Hi Paul, thanks for taking the time. In the meantime I've switched to chromium and I'm happy with it. Currently using 16.04.4 LTS and just opened firefox 60.0.2 (64-Bit) with 20 Tabs. Well, it is doing much better, at least the computer is still usable, but it needs to be tested at least one day like this to find out if it increases RAM usage every hour. Unfortunately no time for this now, maybe during holidays.
