Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird.

You made this bug report in 2009 and there have been several versions of
Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the 
ticket? 
Or, if it is still a problem, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect 420262

and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for
this particular issue.

  Binary package hint: thunderbird

  version 2.0.0.23 (20090817) on Jaunty

  When inserting an image with the file extension .JPG (Capital letters)
  the file is not show in the menu to attach it under image files. Only
  when I choose show all files it shows.

  I think it should show this file even if the file extensions are in
  capital. Many images send around are messy in regards to their file
  names.
