Title:
  prevent system to enter suspend/hibernate

Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: thunderbird

When Thunderbird is running the system does not go into correct
automatic suspend or hibernate mode at idle (only screen is black but
the system is still alive). If I close down Thunderbird everything
  work fine.

I have multiple IMAP accounts that regularly checks for new email.
Have tried to remove the automatic checks with no improvements.

This has been the case for many system versions at least 8.04 to 10.04
  32 bit
