Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird.
You made this bug report in 2012 and there have been several versions of
Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
Or, if it is still a problem, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect 915177
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for
this particular issue.

Filter Rules Window Locks if accessed in specific way

Bug description:
Scenario 1 ( expected behaviour )
Click on Tools->Message Filters
Click on New Filter.
Browse back to main thunderbird window
Scenario 2 ( unexpected behaviour )
Select email
In the reading pane click on the highlighted From field
Click on "Create filter from"
This brings up the New Filter window
Try to click on the main thunderbird window, you can't as focus is now locked
to the "new filter" window.
