Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with subject box in 
Thunderbird.

You made this bug report in 2012 and there have been several versions of
Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the 
ticket?
Or, if it is still a problem, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect BUGNUMBER

and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for
this particular issue.

  Cursor is on the left side in an empty subject box

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:

  Open the window for composing a new message in thunderbird
  Enter the text of the message
  Enter a subject
  Remove the entered subject

  Result:

  The cursor is on the right side of the text box, and is jumping to the
  left if a letter is entered again

  Expected Result:

  Cursor at the right side

  Using Ubuntu 12.10 Beta 2 and the pre-installed version of thunderbird
  15.0.1
