Hi Janne, I looked at your other ticket for firefox. You mentioned there that the simplest solution was to remove older files. It looks like they made more progress there. I have attached a screen print of the /usr/share/doc/firefox directory. They have replaced the MPL.gz file with two files (MPL-1.1.gz and MPL-2.0.gz) and the copyright file seems to be updated. Is that what you hoped to have done there for firefox?
Do you want them to do the same for the thunderbird directory? (/usr/share/doc/thunderbird) (screen shot attached in next comment) I can create a ticket on the Mozilla website to that effect. :) G ** Attachment added: "Firefox /usr/share/doc/firefox directory" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/1028267/+attachment/5160034/+files/MPLGZ_Firefox.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to thunderbird in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1028267 Title: thunderbird license change not reflected in /usr/share/doc/thunderbird/copyright Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Now that thunderbird (and firefox, see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1028266) have switched from the MPLv1/GPL/LGPL tri-license to MPL 2.0, /usr/share/doc/thunderbird/copyright should reflect this. Also, /usr/share/doc/thunderbird/MPL.gz should be updated, or removed if the MPL 2.0 would be included in /usr/share/doc/thunderbird/copyright. Also, based on a quick look, the license list in this file seem to lack quite a few of the licenses in the list one can see at about:license (help -> about thunderbird -> licensing information). This is for thunderbird 14.0 in Ubuntu 10.04 and 12.04.
