Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird.
You made this bug report in 2013 and there have been several versions of
Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
Or, if it is still a problem, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect BUGNUMBER
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for
this particular issue.

No progress bar for unread mail across Thunderbird launcher

Bug description:
This was supposedly fixed in today's Stable Release Update, but is
unchanged. I have been following #1171663 and we were informed that
today's release would fix the problem. There are no other symptoms
known to me except the absence of the progress bar for unread mail on
the Thunderbird launcher, which was a useful and conspicuous feature
of Quantal. I have installed the update and restarted the system
without effect. I am running virgin 64-bit Raring, and I don't have
any other buggy symptoms, related or unrelated, just this one.
