Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with number of new
messages in Thunderbird. You made this bug report in 2014 and there have been
several versions of Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to
this bug?
If you are, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect BUGNUMBER
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

DST switch induces wrong ordering of incoming mails by date

Bug description:
i usually keep my thunderbird open for weeks. this sunday the clock
switched by one hour due to the DST. i have noticed that suddenly all
new incoming mail has been gathering out of my view, so i had to
scroll down (i use reverse date ordering to keep new emails on top).
after a restart of thunderbird the problem seems to go away, so the
confusion must have come from the fact that the clock changed
drastically during the running of thunderbird...
