Hello Joe,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird.
You made this bug report in 2014 and there have been several versions of Ubuntu
and Thunderbird since then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to
this bug?
If you are, could you run the following (only once):

particular issue.
Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu and Thunderbird better.

Title:
Endless openpgp prompts when idle
Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Description: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Release: 14.04
thunderbird:
Installed: 1:31.1.2+build1-0ubuntu0.14.04.1
Candidate: 1:31.1.2+build1-0ubuntu0.14.04.1
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/30.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140608211622
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Thunderbird
2. Go away for a while
3. Come back
Actual results:
-The "OpenPGP Prompt" has come up countless times.
-You can press "cancel" until they are all gone. Or enter your password,
which only makes the first one go away.
-Assuming that it opens a new prompt every 5 minutes (or whatever it's set to)
Expected results:
Only one prompt should be present. If already open, another prompt
should not open at each interval (default 5 min?)
