Hello Gabor,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with importing into
Thunderbird. You made this bug report in 2015 and there have been several
versions of Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to
this bug?
If you are, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect 1414003
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu and Thunderbird better.
G

Title:
Thunderbird import function does not work

Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
The import function of Thunderbird does not work.

When I click on Tools/Import and choose "Import Everything" and click "Next"
then I greeted with a screen where I should choose where I want to import from
("Import Preferences, Account Setting, Address Book, Filters, and other data
from:") and below is all empty, nothing to choose.
I click on the "Next" button and absolutely nothing happens. The button is
active and the click happens, but nothing. I have waited and nothing happened.
I can close the window with the "cancel" button or the window close "x" but
can not go further.

I want to import Outlook data, but do not get to the point where I
  should choose.

I am using UBUNTU 14.04 and Thunderbird 31.4.0
