updated logs by running only once in a terminal:

and add any additional information that you think relevant.
Alternatively, please confirm that this is no longer a problem and that
we can close the report. If we do not hear from you the bug report will
close itself in approximately two months time.

  Firefox address bar not working

Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Firefox does not search for site in the address bar in the default tab
  after launch, not even the bookmarks or recent sites list on the local
  computer. It however fucntions normally when the same search is typed
  into another (newly opened)  tab's address bar . After this is done,
  the address bar in the original (first) tab also works normally.
