Please try setting:
Settings > Devices > Display > Scale = 100%
If that doesn't solve the problem then next please take a
screenshot/photo of the problem and attach it here.
Finally, please also run this command to gather more system info:

The icons on the desktop are too big and even reducing the size at 50%
through the nautilus window they do not become small enough.
It would be useful to reduce the size even more.
