Title:
Have sound output controls for multiple applications in Status Menu

Status in GNOME Shell:
  Won't Fix
Status in Ubuntu GNOME:
  New
Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I think that a really good feature would be one that would allow you
to easily change the sound output volume for individual applications
in the Status Menu. So what I mean is that you would probably have a
pull-down menu in there for sound, and then it would give you a list
of applications, and if you check a little box next to an application
you will be able to set a custom output sound volume for it, and if
not, then the normal sound output volume that you have set (and can
  change) is used.
