I'm seeing this in a fresh 11.10 install, and I've also seen it happen in Fedora. It's almost as if it thinks the message has been displayed when infact it has not. The message is also not displayed in a new window. This is a real shame, because in virtually every way, Evolution is the superior client.
I wonder if it is related to the IMAP server, I'm running with dbmail 2.2.17 at the server end. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/891996 Title: Message preview window frozen on Evolution startup Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Message preview windows opened at startup focus on the first unread message I selected another message but the message preview content doesn't change I double clicked on the message and a blank message window is opened I selected another message but the result doesn't change Evolution 3.2.1 RAF ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: evolution 3.2.1-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-12.20-generic 3.0.4 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-12-generic i686 ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: i386 Date: Fri Nov 18 11:02:54 2011 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/evolution InstallationMedia: Xubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Release i386 (20110427) ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=it_IT.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: evolution UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-10-21 (27 days ago) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/891996/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
