Status in cups package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: cups
Karmic alpha 5 (as of Sep 14)
click on system->administration->printers->new printer
scan for a cups printer on an ubuntu jaunty server and cannot find it
tried several ways, e.g. spec the ipp printer, etc.
finally gave up and just cut and pasted my older jaunty
/etc/cups/printers.conf stanza
for the network-remote jaunty server's cups printer into my new desktop's
karmic's
/etc/cups/printers.conf file
restarted cups via /etc/init.d/cups restart and works fine
