Connect a laptop to a power supply 2. Pair a BT speaker 3. Play some music with VLC 4. Disconnect the laptop from AC to switch to battery Expected result The music continues playing Actual result It stops. pavucontrol shows that the output device is still the BT speaker and the vumeter is still alive but there is not sound on the speaker. Only powering off/on the speaker makes it work again.
