Title:
  Maximized gnome-terminal restored to smaller size

Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  In Ubuntu 17.10 with the default GNOME on Wayland session, maximizing
  and restoring a gnome-terminal window results in it ending up one row
  and one column smaller than it originally was.

  Steps to reproduce:
  * Open gnome-terminal as a non-maximized window
  * Type "echo $COLUMNS" in the terminal, which should typically print "80"
  * Maximize the window and unmaximize it
  * Type "echo $COLUMNS" in the terminal again

  What should happen:
  * The window is the same size before maximizing and after unmaximizing, and
both instances of "echo $COLUMNS" return the same number (80)

  What happens instead:
  * The window is smaller after unmaximizing than before maximizing, and the
second "echo $COLUMNS" returns the number from the first "echo $COLUMNS" minus
one (79). NB, "$LINES" also changes by -1.
