Public bug reported: Just connecting the printer through USB, Ubuntu tries to find a driver for the printer but fails. It starts the "Ubuntu software" GUI app but with the message "Unfortunately, the DYMO LabelWriter 450 you were searching for could not be found. Please see this website for more information."
The link for "this website" points to https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/ However, removing the printer, installing the "printer-driver-dymo" package, and re-adding the printer makes it properly find and install the printer perfectly.
