I think it was a simple typo when refreshing 52_region_language.patch.
Patch attached. Fixes bug #1786881 too.

Bug description:
  [Impact]
  Changing language in Settings doesn't show currently selected language.

  [Test Case]
  1. Open Settings
  2. Go to "Region & Language" panel
  3. Click on "Language"

  Expected result:
  The list of available languages shows the current language selected.

  Observed result:
  No languages are shown as selected.
