The document you attached appears empty, and contains only one page. For the "next page" functionality to work, you need to ensure that there's at least one page after the one you're inserting the field on (or more if you add a positive offset).

I selected: insert- field - more fields, then selected "Page" in the "Type" list under the document tab, following I selected "next page" in the select list. Then, whatever I select from the format list I Just get the last selection printed in the field of page number The last selection was "next page", thus I got these words printed but no page numbers. I don't receive error messages. I still have Windows10 , on my lab but I rarely use it. I an stopping windows update. Meanwhile, I get UBUNTU regular updates and currently my UBUNTU soft ware is up to date. 2- In printing any document, I must put the printer off first choose what is to print and click OK then starting the printer. In the meantime, only one job is printed after all this. Normally the first clicked job. I have "Printer" and "Printer settings" software. Here also I don't receive error messages.
