Title:
message forwarded as attachment when forwarding set to inline in
  thunderbird

Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: thunderbird

  Bug occurs in thunderbird 2.0.0.16

When I try to forward one particular message, the message is forwarded
as an attachment even though my preferences specify forwarding inline.
I have attached the message, but with email addresses, the subject
line and visible text replaced by short messages to that effect.

I have been unable to reproduce this bug with other messages, even
  though I have tried several.

If I hit the reply button for this message the text appears inline as
  it is supposed to.

The message was sent to me for forwarding by someone who had tried to
post it several times to an e-list without success. However it is
quite possible that this is merely a coincidence; on this list
postings sometimes turn up days late, if at all. When I say that the
message is the same one my friend had sent to the list, I should make
clear that it is not exactly identical because a personal message to
  me was added.
