inbox shows new mail but it is not visible in the folder

Bug description:
Binary package hint: thunderbird
After downloading all the mail, Inbox shows the correct no of unread
mail. But on opening the inbox folder, it shows 1(one) mail less than
the indicated no. of mails. I can access the mail on opening my gmail
account in a browser (firefox), but it continues to be invisible in
thunderbird.
