I cannot login to Outlook.com, from whatever entry point

Bug description:
I have used both Chromium and Firefox to log into my Microsoft account
for years now. Lately, Firefox stopped working for this purpose, so I
switched to Chromium, which later stopped working for this purpose
too. I reinstalled both browsers, but this changed nothing. There
was a Linux update about address resolution later on which did not fix
this problem for me. It was only when there was an automatic update
of Chromium that Chromium started working again. Firefox has not
started worked again after it too underwent an automatic update.
When I try to log in to Outlook.com from anywhere that I could think
of, including hotmail.com, the page where I should enter my
credentials appears blank, so that I cannot log in. Here is an
example of a page which appears blank:
