We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all
reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago
and there have been many changes in Ubuntu and Firefox since that time.

Do you still see a problem related to the one that you reported? Please
let us know if you do as I cannot replicate the issue with Ubuntu 18.04
and Firefox 61.

  Setting Preferences Application for PDF to 'Always ask' or 'Download'
  results in failed download

Bug description:
  After upgrading from 42.0+build2-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 to
  43.0+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1  in Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit, found that
  previous application preferences for PDF types set to 'Always Ask',
  Download, or open in application acroread results in the application
  attempting to immediately download the file with no questions asked.
  The download however fails.
