I can't find any other reports of this crash yet. You do seem to have a few extensions installed:
b'org.gnome.shell' b'enabled-extensions' b"['places-menu@gnome-shell- extensions.gcampax.github.com', '[email protected]', '[email protected]', '[email protected]', '[email protected]', 'user-theme@gnome-shell- extensions.gcampax.github.com', 'drive-menu@gnome-shell- extensions.gcampax.github.com', '[email protected]', '[email protected]', '[email protected]']" Please try removing all of them and see if that fixes the problem. If so then we would need to find out which extension it is. ** Summary changed: - gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV in shell_app_dispose() + gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV in shell_app_dispose() from g_object_unref() from g_hash_table_remove_node() from g_hash_table_remove_internal() from _shell_app_system_notify_app_state_changed() from shell_app_state_transition() from _shell_app_remove_window() ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Information type changed from Private to Public -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1789933 Title: gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV in shell_app_dispose() from g_object_unref() from g_hash_table_remove_node() from g_hash_table_remove_internal() from _shell_app_system_notify_app_state_changed() from shell_app_state_transition() from _shell_app_remove_window() Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Original bugreport: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome- shell/+bug/1789644 ProblemType: Crash DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.10 Package: gnome-shell 3.29.90-2ubuntu1 Uname: Linux 4.18.3-041803-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.10-0ubuntu9 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: GNOME Date: Thu Aug 30 23:19:18 2018 DisplayManager: gdm3 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/gnome-shell InstallationDate: Installed on 2018-04-20 (132 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 17.10 "Artful Aardvark" - Release amd64 (20180105.1) ProcCmdline: /usr/bin/gnome-shell ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SegvAnalysis: Segfault happened at: 0x7fb834684b6f: mov (%rax),%rsi PC (0x7fb834684b6f) ok source "(%rax)" (0x00000000) not located in a known VMA region (needed readable region)! destination "%rsi" ok SegvReason: reading NULL VMA Signal: 11 SourcePackage: gnome-shell StacktraceTop: ??
